Yes, despite some last minute confusions, we both made it to Paris and are having a wonderful time.

This blog is primarily intended for friends and family interested in how Eddy is doing during his year deployment with the Oregon National Guard to Iraq. Anyone else interested in news from a non-war supporter who nevertheless felt it his duty to go over and try to straighten out this mess is certainly welcome. We'll both keep it current not just with updates on how he is doing, but also unvarnished news from the "two fronts" - Iraq and the one at home. Kathy

I am so happy for the two of you and I can't tell you how happy I am to have Kathy as a daughter. To be honest I already considered her so but, as you both may well have guessed since you chose this manner of informing me,I am so upset at being left out. I may never get over it. Enjoy yourselves and hurry home for a visit. I will miss you very much at Christmas again this year but I hung up a stocking for both of you anyway.
