That is how Ed described his flight thus far on the voicemail message that he just left for me. Given the saga of the connex these past few weeks, I can't imagine WHAT could have happened for his flight to win that appellation.
Yes, you read that right, I did say his flight. The good news is, he has left Kuwait. The unfortunate news is, he is stuck in Ireland for the next "four hours, maybe five. Maybe longer." This would be less unfortunate if he wasn't still under the army's drinking ban. Then again, that's probably a good thing. I would not be amused if he missed his flight because he was busy quaffing Guinness in a bar.
He is on his way back to Fort Lewis, Washington. He'll spend a few days there outprocessing, before he can finally come home. We've got our fingers crossed that he makes it home by this weekend. We've got tickets for three shows in Ashland that we'd really like to use.
We'll let you know more when we know more.
