I'm tempted to rant about the absolutely dismal preparation and forethought that went into this creating this debacle. This situation that we had a major hand in creating, thereby creating a greater than normal responsibility for us to try to prevent (stem?) genocide Obama: Don't Stay in Iraq Because of Genocide .
Hmmmm, I seem to be ranting. Well, I'll save that for another day. This was just s'posed to be a short update. Departure day is approaching. Fortunately, the guys get four day passes before they head out. I will be heading back east next week to enjoy the humidity, no wait, to spend time with Eddy before he leaves. We'll be (avoiding the humidity by) visiting some of the DC museums, and spending a couple days hiking and playing the the water at the Delaware Water Gap. Although after two months of army food, it sounds like Eddy's top priority is eating good food.
We probably won't post next week since we'll hopefully be far away from any computers. But tune in again soon for more updates and announcements.
