Ho Ho Ho Hum
After the excitement of Paris and Prague, it's a bit hard to think of something to write. Ed is back in Iraq, although his job has changed. Not only has he been transferred even deeper into the bureaucracy, but he will be working the night shift (9 pm-9 am). On the plus side, it's only 12 hours a day and he gets one entire day off per week. Before he was working 14-15 hours a day, six days a week and "only" 10 hours on Sunday. Sadly, he will no longer will he be coordinating the embedded reporter program. Which is too bad, because when we were in Prague we went to the Czech Press Photo exhibit and saw the work of one of the reporters he'd been in contact with. Could've been a nice opening to re-establish contact. Not exactly sure what this new position entails, although apparently he'll be doing some traveling around the country again soon. Hopefully the relative calm that has reigned for the past two months will continue to hold.
