Despite all the time Ed has spent in the army, Kathy (and by extension, those of you reading the blog) continues to learn new military-bureaucratese. The words of the week ladies and gentelmen, OPORD, FRAGO and WARNO.
An OPORD is an Operation Order, basically a plan for "something."
A FRAGO is a fragmentary order, usually a change or addition to an OPORD.
A WARNO is a Warning Order that a FRAGO or OPORD is coming.
Try working those into your workplace.
OPORDs, FRAGOs, and WARNOs continue to dominate Ed's life. But that's a good thing. Because the majority of the OPORDs that he is dealing with right now concern his redeployment back to the states. If all goes well (knock on wood), he and the rest of his unit will be out of Iraq and on their way home in less than a month.
With crossed fingers,
Kathy
